This 1974 Dodge Charger SE, special edition, is loaded to the hilt with the ultimate early 70’s option, a sliding sunroof!! As well as being a “440 Magnum U-code” muscle car, this is an extremely rare and collectible car. Very rare, exact figure unknown, maybe less than 50 made, at least less than 100.

This car is complete and all there. Low mileage. 95% original survivor. The car has not been driven in a long time. However, it does roll. Engine is tight. I put a ratchet on the crankshaft, it feels like it wants to turn but I did not want to force it. More than likely the bearing surfaces are stuck. Needless to say, the car needs a complete mechanical restoration. The body has some rust problems from sitting outside. All the interior soft trim and vinyl needs replacing. With a good parts car or two this would not be an overly difficult restoration. The big plus for this car is that everything is still there and it is unmolested.
Some Specifics:

Under hood all original with exception of radiator hoses, spark plugs, and voltage regulator. Original fan belts, fuel filter/vapor separator, wires, etc.

Left quarter and trunk floor are rust free

Fenders, doors, valence panels are all marginal and should be replaced, deck lid is very rusty

Interior floor pan and right quarter panel are rusted out, which was caused by the sunroof reservoir leaking

Original dual exhaust system, mufflers, resonators, chrome tips, etc.

All exterior trim is nice: grilles, park lenses, mouldings, etc.. The taillight lenses are un-broken and are the nicest used ones I have ever seen - the clear back-up portion is still clear!

Rear brake drums look to have never been off the car, they have remnants of the red factory paint and the factory installed retaining clips over studs in place

Car comes with some paperwork including intact broadcast sheet as well as a brochure and manual

This is a cool, rare complete project car that will sure get the attention of collectors. I have available a parts car that I have been storing for a number of years for the express purpose of complementing the restoration of this 440 car. It is a 318 SE car with a mint black interior: door panels, console, dash pad, complete package. It could provide all metal except the right quarter panel. I also have available plenty of good used and nos parts for this car’s restoration. The parts car and the other parts are NOT included in the price of this car but will be offered to the purchaser at an additional cost. I also have lots of NOS goodies stashed for this sunroof resto, again extra cost and available only to the purchaser of this car.
Delivery/Storage:
We are a professional establishment and have the means to store this vehicle and help with delivery. We are easy to get along with and will be more than happy to help. However, the buyer is responsible for all charges associated with shipping and/or storage of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, we will gladly cooperate.
Terms of Sale:
A deposit of $500 (non-refundable) must be received within 3 business says of sale and make arrangements for the remaining balance at that time. We will ONLY accept payment in the forms of a certified check, money order or cash. The remainder is due within 10 business days of the sale. If no contact is made within 3 business days we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell it otherwise. Please arrange financing prior to sale.
